PLANOLOGI dan segala hal tentangnya.. *Part_1

Selamat siang...
Tadi pagi iseng2 buka emailQ yang khusus untuk menampung notifikasi FB n milis.
Cukup ramai juga grup dari komunitas mahasiswa_planologi_indonesia.
Yaaa...secara saya adalah salah satu anggota komunitas itu, so i decided to join this group lah.
Siapa tahu bermanfaat.
And trust me, it works! (iya..iya..ini emang slogannya susu ituuu... :p )
Setelah baca satu persatu, cukup menarik juga pembahasannya.
Intinya hampir sama dengan postingan saya kapan hari.
"Nyesel ga si udah ambil S1 Planologi?"
Dan ternyata banyak orang yang mengaku TIDAK MENYESAL dengan keputusannya, for undergraduate from PLANO. Meskipun narasumber tidak memiliki pekerjaan yang berkaitan langsung dengan PLANOLOGI.
FYI, beberapa universitas di Indonesia menyebutnya PLANOLOGI, namun ada beberapa univ yg menyebutnya Perencanaan Wilaya dan Kota atau PWK.
Salah satu reply ada yg menyertakan sebuah link, dimana kita bisa membaca segala sesuatu tentang pekerjaan. Mungkin hampir mirip Uraian Jabatan gitu, cuman ini lebih global. 
Salah satunya adalah PLANNER.

Urban and Regional Planners

Develop comprehensive plans and programs for use of land and physical facilities of local jurisdictions, such as towns, cities, counties, and metropolitan areas. >> Namanya juga PLANNER, pasti kerjaannya juga mem-PLANNING..

Sample of reported job titles: Planner, Community Development Planner, Planning Director, Neighborhood Planner, City Planner, Community Development Director, Regional Planner, Airport Planner, Building, Planning, and Zoning Director, Community Planning and Development Representative 
>> see? A lot of job related to our disciplines! Like what my friend's stat in her YM in a one day : PLANNER knows everything, but MASTER OF NONE. Masuk akal si, karena emang kita dapet ilmu buanyak bgt (multidisipliner), cuman semua ndak terlalu spesifik. *Kecuali qta dapet ilmu khusus, such as ikutan seminar, ambil sertifikasi, ato malah sekolah lagi. 

Tasks :
  • Hold public meetings with government officials, social scientists, lawyers, developers, the public, and special interest groups to formulate, develop or address issues regarding land use or community plans.
  • Discuss with planning officials the purpose of land use projects such as transportation, conservation, residential, commercial, industrial, and community use.
  • Recommend approval, denial or conditional approval of proposals.
  • Design, promote and administer government plans and policies affecting land use, zoning, public utilities, community facilities, housing, and transportation.
  • Conduct field investigations, surveys, impact studies or other research to compile and analyze data on economic, social, regulatory and physical factors affecting land use.
  • Create, prepare, or requisition graphic and narrative reports on land use data, including land area maps overlaid with geographic variables such as population density.
  • Assess the feasibility of proposals and identify necessary changes.
  • Coordinate work with economic consultants and architects during the formulation of plans and the design of large pieces of infrastructure.
  • Keep informed about economic and legal issues involved in zoning codes, building codes, and environmental regulations.
  • Determine the effects of regulatory limitations on projects.

>> Tepat sekali deh! Jaman kuliah semua kepake nih. Mungkin yang jarang kepake adalah GPS. Tapi sepertinya sekarang, it's a general thing to use.

>> Membaca sambil me-list bidang yang ada di dalam pengetahuan PLANOLOGI. Bahasa ada, Hukum ada, Ekonomi ada, Administrasi Publik ada, Sipil ada, Humas ada, Komputer ada, MIPA ada, Desain ada, bahkan sampe Keguruan ada. Byuh,,,,,banyak ternyata... 

Skill :

>> Presentasi di depan dosen, presentasi di depan Pak Lurah dan warganya, Ngelobi orang dinas buat dapet data, nyelesain masalah saat kelompokan, nyelesain masalah saat galau (*eh..), nulis skripsweet, heey... it's almost done by us!!!
